Rex Tillerson has successfully alienated himself from the rest of the Trump administration and his own department. No one really knows what he’s doing because he refuses to have a press pool.
In a new report by the Washington Post, they reveal some of the strange rules diplomats must follow when in Tillerson’s presence, and that’s if they even have the chance to meet the elusive man.
Read an excerpt from the Post report below:
“Most of his interactions are with an insular circle of political aides who are new to the State Department. Many career diplomats say they still have not met him, and some have been instructed not to speak to him directly — or even make eye contact.”
That’s right! It’s a big NO NO to make eye contact with Rex Tillerson. Recently, Tillerson opted out of a NATO meeting to meet with Russia instead. He also said he is “not a big media press access person.” The big question is who is Rex Tillerson?
Why do you think diplomats must follow these strange rules around Rex Tillerson?
